General terms and conditions of breeding

1)    Breeding season starts on March 1 and ends on July 31 every yeaer, if not changed otherwise
2)    The stallions of the Lucky Valley Ranch breed Quarter or Paint mares boarded at the ranch with fresh or frozen sperm
3)    Frozen semen can be sent via courier services (DHL etc.  - see our price list
4)    Frozen semen is transported in a special container and the vet who is responsible for insemination takes doses from it. The container is then sent back to our ranch by courier service without any rental fees.

5)    Discounts may be applied for the owner of two and more mares and for multiple breeding of mares of one ranch.

6)    Other agreements may be applied upon the mare´s owner´s request.

7)    Semen is taken and stored by ERC, ltd., Pardubice-Mnetice, and also by MVRd. J. Mazurek, Vizovice.

8)    The mares owners refer about the result of insemination at least by August 31, this Year so that we could prepre the list of breeding for coming breeding season.

9)    In the case of birth of a dead foal the mare´s owner has the right of rebreeing. Another stud fee is not paid in such a case.

10)  PIn the case of death of a mare during delivery her owner has the right to apply for rebreeding of another, substitute mare. No stud fee is paid in such case.

Before a mare comes:

• the owner calls and makes agreement upon breeding terms
• signs the breeding contract and pays stud fee
  
• learns about general breeding terms and also terms of each stallion (see the section Stallions)
• before a mares leaves the Lucky Valley Ranch, he owner pays all the fees refering to the mare´s boarding and vet care.

At mare´s arrival:

• the owner presents mare´s health certificate, including certificates of blood test, vaccination etc.
• presents the Certificate of Registration of AQHA/ APHA
• all the mares must be healthy, without any vices (cribbing etc.)

After breeding:

• before a mares leaves the Lucky Valley Ranch, he owner pays all the fees refering to the mare´s boarding and vet care.
• owner receives breeding certificate of Central Horse Evidence of Czech Republic
• owner recieves also the form of Registration Application of AQHA/ APHA

Extra services

Lucky Valley Ranchcan arrange registration of foal at AQHA/ APHA upon request ( fees according to the price list of AQHA/ APHA plus manupulation fee)

1) fresh semen breeding

• the owner pays all the fees regarding vet care and breeding after a mare is bred and before she is taken from our ranch.
• stud fees of our stallions can be found at each stallion´s page
• in the case a mare does not get pregnant by Aug. 31 this Year, the paid stud fee applies for the mare also the following year till July 31 next Year. The other fees remain unchanged (vet, boarding, etc.). For the next breeding season stud fee must be paid again.

2)    frozen semen breeeding

• mare´s owner pays stud fee of a stallion in advance
• the owner pays all the fees regarding vet care and breeding after a mare is bred and before she is taken from our ranch.
• stud fees of our stallions can be found at each stallion´s page
• stud fee includes (if not given otherwise) three doses of frozen semen
• 3 doses of semen are sent in special containers directly to the vet who is going to inseminate the mare.
• rebreeding is to be paid in advance, delivery by courier service is paid either by the owner of the vet at delivery.
• price of each dose of frozen semen is 800,- CZK, freezing included.
  
• in the case a mare does not get pregnant by Aug. 31 this Year, the owner may pay for rebreeding for the next season. Stud feeis not paid agaon then.

• insemination of a mare with frozen semen, 500,- CZK
• insemination of a mare with  fresh semen, 400,- CZK
• ultrasound, 450,- CZK
• collection of stallions, 1200,- CZK
• rebreeding (3 doses frozen) - 2 400,- CZK
• rebreeding (2 doses fresh) - 1200,- CZK
• rent coldbox (refundable deposit) - 500,- CZK
• boarding fee per day, amre without foal, 300,- CZK
• boarding fee per day, mare with foal, 300,- CZK (this price applies between 1st and 10th day, then it´s reduced to 230,- CZK
• Courier service, Czech Railways, basic fee, 180,- CZK
• courier services paid by owner or vet at delivery, prices according to price list of courier service
• registration of foal at AQHA/ APHA, 500,- CZK (AQHA or APHA fees not included)
